I built this because nobody built it for me

Hi, I'm Sarah.

Functional Nutrition Practitioner · Founder, Integrative Wellness

I spent years as the patient nobody could figure out. Now I read blood work, symptoms, lifestyle and genetics together so my clients don't have to spend those years themselves.

The years my labs were "normal"

For years I was caught in a cycle of specialists, prescriptions and side effects. Depleted, overweight, mentally and physically exhausted, and tired of being told my labs were "normal."

The turning point was finally seeing my data read together instead of one test at a time: how my body was wired for methylation, detox, inflammation and stress, and what my blood work and symptoms were saying about it right now. Once I could see the pattern, I could stop guessing.

"I built Integrative Wellness so you don't have to spend years figuring it out alone."

So I went and got trained in it, and the practice grew out of my own kitchen-table folders of lab results. Everything I do for clients today is the thing I wish someone had done for me.

How I work

Think of it as hiring a coach for your health. We hire coaches for our careers, our money, our kids' sports; the body is the one place most of us still go it alone.

We start with what you already have: blood work, symptoms, medications, supplements, lifestyle. No DNA test is required. Genetics is the deepest layer for those who want it, and Ancestry or 23andMe raw data both work.

My clients include women navigating perimenopause and menopause, people working on weight or insulin resistance, clients I support alongside their doctors through thyroid conditions, and plenty of people who feel mostly fine and want to optimize.

Training

  • Functional nutrition, university training with an emphasis in nutrigenomics: how genes shape your response to food, nutrients and stress
  • University of Michigan graduate, biology emphasis before moving to communications
  • Master's degree in adult education, which shapes how I teach clients their own data
  • Continuing coursework at Bastyr University
  • Lived experience as the complex patient, which no classroom provides
What I am, and what I am not

I am a nutrition practitioner and educator. I am not a physician or a dietitian, I do not diagnose or treat disease, and I work alongside your medical team, never in place of it. Everything I provide is education and my professional opinion.
